Boating around North Captiva in Pine Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico is a dream come true. It will give a whole new perspective to your island home and vacation. We highly suggest you take a 'Day Trip' with Captain John..

We can customize any trip to suite your needs and a days outing might go something like this: Finding some Dolphins in the Pass (we can usually get within fifty feet of them). Drifting, we Can hear them surface for air, this is really incredible! Stop by another island to see an ancient Calusa Indian Mound and think about what this area was like a thousand or so years ago. The Beach….Travel up the pristine and uninhabited island of Cayo Costa. Stop off and swim or collect shells. Continue on up into Boca Grande Pass.

Possibly stop at Cabbage Key for a 'Hamburger in Paradise' as Jimmy used to say. Manatees….There are a couple of hidden lagoons where Manatee like to stay. Sometimes they come right up to the boat for a little head scratch. Turn for home and run past the island of Usseppa, home of the rich and famous.

By now usually everyone is getting a little sun baked and salt covered. We then continue on home through Pine Island Sound, watching and stopping for all sorts of wildlife. Birds: White Pelicans, Rosette Spoonbills, Frigate Birds, all sorts depending on the season. Maybe even more Dolphin will be in the cards.

When we arrive back at the dock, there's just time for a quick shower, a toast to the sunset, and a BBQ dinner. What a day!.
